Your Key Responsibilities

  • Providing specialist benefits advice primarily through phone consultations.
  • Assisting clients in understanding their entitlements and completing better‑off calculations.
  • Supporting appeals and delivering training to staff and partner organisations.
  • Working closely with the wider department, including Adult Care Financial Services.
  • Attending events and building strong networks with partners to enhance service delivery.

To Succeed In This Role

  • Proven experience in providing specialist benefits advice.
  • Up‑to‑date and expert knowledge of the benefits system.
  • Knowledge of Adult Social Care and Health and understanding of Financial Assessments for care charges.
  • Strong numeracy skills and proficiency in IT applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A full driving licence and access to a vehicle for travel.
