We are seeking an experienced and compassionate part time Band 6 Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD) Specialist Nurse to join our dynamic team. This vital role and exciting opportunity has arisen for a specialist nurse with previous experience of ILD, who is dedicated to provide high quality care for these patients. ILD is a group of complex respiratory diseases, characterised by scarring and inflammation of the lungs. You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team including consultants, radiologists, pharmacists, administrative team and community respiratory teams.
In this role, you will provide dedicated support to patients with ILD, guiding them from diagnosis, through treatment, and into the palliative phase. You will work closely with palliative care services to ensure seamless continuity of care for this patient group. As a tertiary prescribing Centre for the East Midlands, you will be involved with counselling and monitoring specialised treatments for these patients.
This role offers a unique opportunity to apply and expand your nursing knowledge and skills while delivering high-quality care to these respiratory patients. You will play a pivotal part in improving patient outcomes and supporting their journey at every stage.
Nottingham is the hub for Interstitial Lung Disease so we care for patients across the East Midlands including Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Lincolnshire and Staffordshire. You will be based at Nottingham City Hospital and will be responsible for symptom management and managing the counselling and monitoring of specialist drugs for patients in the respective areas.
