We deliver exceptional general and specialist Respiratory services to Nottinghamshire and beyond. This position offers the opportunity to dedicate up to two sessions (8 hours) per week to research, leadership, or medical education (Career Development Programme). You will join a dedicated team providing outstanding Respiratory care and conducting internationally recognized research within the NIHR Nottingham Biomedical Research Centre, a partnership between NUH and the University of Nottingham. About NUH NUH is the UK\’s fourth largest acute Trust, with a busy emergency department at Queen’s Medical Centre, a level 1 Trauma Centre. We serve 2.5 million residents in Nottingham and surrounding areas, with specialist services reaching 3-4 million regionally and nationally. Qualifications GMC registration Eligibility for the Specialist Register Sub-specialty interests are welcome Role Responsibilities Provide inpatient care on one of five respiratory wards Conduct outpatient clinics focusing on General Respiratory and sub-specialties such as asthma, COPD, cystic fibrosis, bronchiectasis, ILD, complex ventilation, or sleep medicine Participate in on-call duties on the Respiratory Assessment Unit, managing admitted patients for 24 hours, including ward rounds Provide in-reach support at Queen’s campus, reviewing and advising on respiratory patients alongside registrars and ACPs The job plan will be tailored to service needs and the applicant\’s sub-specialty interests Part-Time Consideration Applicants unable to work full-time may be considered for part-time work, with job content modifications discussed individually.
