We are seeking a new colleague to join our forward-thinking and friendly Consultant team in Acute Medicine. Our flexible specialty aims to provide a diverse working model that motivates and engages staff long-term while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. NUH handles one of the busiest acute medical loads in the country, with an average of 110 patients daily. If staying busy is your strength, consider joining us!

Candidates should view Acute Medicine as their primary focus; however, applications from those wishing to maintain interests in other medical specialties are also encouraged.

The successful candidate will work across all service areas, including the Acute Medicine Receiving Area, Assessment Unit, Level 1 monitored beds, Acute Medicine Rapid Assessment (AMRAT), and Telephone Triage. Consultants are on site until 22:00 seven days a week and are supported by a dedicated nursing team, approximately 45 junior doctors, and an expanding team of ACPs, Physician Associates, and prescribing pharmacists.
