Overview

Nottingham Playhouse is seeking two friendly and motivated Box Office & Welcome Assistants to join our team delivering an outstanding customer experience. We want our theatre to be a space where everyone feels they belong and our shows, productions and participation and Amplify programmes reach widely into our city and community.

As one of the first points of contact for our visitors and customers, you’ll provide a warm welcome, sell tickets and memberships, support donations and provide accurate information about Nottingham Playhouse and our activities.

You’ll work as part of a rota-based team handling in person, phone and email enquiries and sales via our Spektrix box office system. You’ll also support the administration of group and school bookings and access requirements and ensure every customer has a positive experience with Nottingham Playhouse.

Role Details

This is a part-time, permanent role primarily working shifts Monday to Saturday, with occasional Sundays as required. There are two posts available, working either 18 or 15 hours per week on average, typically over 3 days.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a warm welcome to visitors and customers at the box office and welcome desk.
  • Sell tickets and memberships; support donations and provide accurate information about Nottingham Playhouse and activities.
  • Handle enquiries and sales via Spektrix box office system (in person, phone and email).
  • Support administration of group and school bookings and access requirements.
  • Contribute to delivering a positive experience for every customer.
