An exciting opportunity has arisen for an undergraduate student to join Nottingham Forest Women on a performance analysis work placement for the duration of the 2026/27 season. The role will involve working as part of the Women’s Pro Game Academy analysis/technical department to facilitate the analysis provision, including full coverage of all training and games, as well as larger project‑based work on a team and individual basis across the course of the season. The role will primarily focus on supporting the analysis and coaching staff with the delivery of analysis content, requiring a hard‑working individual, who is able to work with a high level of detail and accuracy, whilst being comfortable with operating in a fast‑paced, modern environment.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Process & produce content based on the needs of the club.
  • Support the full‑time analysis staff in the delivery of the Pro Game Academy analysis.
  • Support and aid in the delivery of pre and post‑match content.
  • Capture footage of matches & training.
  • Ensure matches and training sessions are coded accurately.
  • Support the collation of movie organisers for individuals and units to help with development.
  • Support with the use of data collection and integration using a range of club and third‑party resources.
  • Code matches & training accurately & effectively.
  • Code opposition games for opposition profiles.
  • Create high quality videos and presentations.
  • Aid in the production of statistical insights from fixtures and training session.
  • Communicate with technical staff and players.
  • Build and maintain a library data and video on team, unit and individual levels.
  • Support in the maintenance and operation of analysis equipment.

What are we looking for

  • Proficient on Excel and Keynote
  • Knowledge of key analysis software (Hudl, Statsbomb, Wyscout etc.)
  • Analysis / football background
  • Appreciation of data, including the ability and desire to collect, deliver and implement it.
  • Deliver a high standard of work whilst working towards deadlines.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to see work through to its conclusion.
  • Ability to self‑motivate and prioritise workloads.
  • Ability to build relationships quickly and establish trust with both staff and players.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Eligible to work in the UK.
