About the Role

This placement offers a unique opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in growing a women’s football team competing in WSL2 during the 26/27 Season. You will play an active role in supporting marketing strategies aimed at increasing fan engagement, enhancing the match‑day experience, and driving attendance.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Commercial Marketing Manager to support the execution of marketing strategies focused on growing the women’s team and increasing matchday attendance.
  • Assist in the creation and delivery of multi‑channel marketing campaigns across website, app, social media, and email.
  • Collaborate with the football and operations departments to help deliver a distinctive and engaging matchday experience tailored to the women’s game and its audience.
  • Support efforts to develop a deeper internal understanding of the women’s fanbase, including key differences compared to the men’s team supporters.
  • Work closely with the Women’s Social and Content Manager to ensure marketing activity is visible, aligned, and consistent across all channels.
  • Contribute to campaign planning, content coordination, and performance tracking where required.
  • Assist with briefing marketing assets and information for women’s programmes, big screens and PA scripts for home matchdays.
  • Support with updates for the women’s team and marketing activity across the website and app.
  • Support the team with wider administrative tasks.
