Intervention Teacher (Casual) in Nottingham

The post holder will be responsible for the organisation and delivery of the players Intervention programme for schoolboys on the Full Time Training Model at South Nottinghamshire Academy (Under 13-16).

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Lead, manage, facilitate and co-ordinate the delivery of Intervention Programme for schoolboys on the Full Time Training Model at South Nottinghamshire Academy.
• Ensure that tracking and assessment of schoolboys’ progress is up to date.
• Liaise with South Nottinghamshire Academy staff to develop our intervention curriculum.
• Contribute to the development of effective tracking systems to monitor student progress.
• Deal with any safeguarding issues that may arise by reporting them to the Head of Safeguarding at South Nottinghamshire Academy and our internal Academy processes.
• Participate in any training courses for Academy staff and other Club staff as and when required, e.g. FA Safeguarding workshops and Equality seminars.
• Be the key point of contact and liaise with South Nottinghamshire Academy over any matters relating to the subject.
• Ensure all administration work is complete accurately and within the time scale set by the Head of Academy and/or Head of Education.
• Assist in creating a positive and purposeful learning environment for all learners.
• Assist in creating an inclusive and safe environment for all learners ensuring all have equal access to opportunities to learn and develop.
• Participate in any CPD courses that are deemed relevant to your role.
• Lead on your CPD to ensure you are enhancing your development within the role.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with governing bodies and external stakeholders to help shape the external environment, maximise student development opportunities, through appropriate challenge and varied experiences.
• Be accountable for maintaining and embedding Nottingham Forest’s values, standards, and behaviours across all Academy staff and players at all times.
• Ensure the effective use of the Football IP platform across the Education department, in line with established processes, expectations, and reporting requirements.

What are we looking for:

• Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) essential for this role.
• Degree level education or equivalent essential.
• Safeguarding Children Tutor Training is desirable.
• Demonstrable experience of secondary education teaching.
• Experience of working in an elite sporting environment.
• Sound organisational skills, able to prioritise and manage own workload.
• Excellent communication skills.
