About the Role:

Nottingham Forest is seeking a driven Events & Marketing Activations Manager to join our growing commercial and marketing team. This is a hands‑on delivery role at the heart of the Club's fan engagement, marketing, and commercial activity. You will be the driver behind our club events, marketing and partner activations - taking ownership of projects from initial planning through to execution. You will also provide support to our Content Production & Partnership teams on Men, Women and Netball matchdays, helping to ensure every fan‑facing moment is seamless, professional, and on‑brand. This role is built for a natural project manager who thrives on coordination, keeps multiple stakeholders aligned, and takes genuine pride in delivering exceptional experiences.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

Events
  • Own and deliver all Club events from end to end, from initial concept through planning, logistics, and on‑site execution.
  • Act as the primary point of contact and project lead for fan‑facing events including open days, community events, and seasonal activations.
  • Work with internal departments on any ad‑hoc events or activations.
Marketing Activations
  • Support the Marketing team in delivering campaigns and fan activations, ensuring activations are executed on brief, on time, and to a high standard.
  • Coordinate creative and operational requirements across internal and external teams to bring marketing campaigns to life.
Partner Activations
  • Support the Partnerships team in delivering partner activations and any contractual rights that may need event / activation support.
Matchday Presentation Support
  • Produce scripts and running orders for matchday presentation.
  • Book and brief talent, presenters, and on‑pitch personnel.
  • Check and coordinate matchday content across all production touchpoints.
  • Liaise with floor managers and production teams to ensure smooth operational delivery.
  • Serve as a key operational link between the Content Production and Marketing teams on matchdays.
Project & Stakeholder Management
  • Coordinate suppliers, freelancers, and internal stakeholders across all assigned projects.
  • Manage timelines, budgets and project plans for all events and activations.
  • Maintain clear communication across teams to ensure everyone is briefed, aligned, and accountable.

Essential Criteria
  • Proven experience delivering events, activations or marketing campaigns from concept through to execution.
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to work collaboratively across a variety of departments and with external suppliers and partners.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships at all levels.
  • Highly organised with outstanding attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and make effective decisions in a fast‑moving environment.
  • Experience managing project timelines, budgets and logistics.
  • Comfortable taking ownership of projects and seeing them through from planning to delivery.
  • Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings, weekends and matchdays, in line with the demands of the football calendar.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Desirable Criteria
  • Experience working within professional sport, entertainment, hospitality or live events.
  • Knowledge of football matchday operations or live event production.
  • Experience coordinating marketing activations or commercial partnership fulfilment.
  • Experience producing event schedules, scripts or running orders.
  • Understanding of fan engagement and customer experience principles.
  • Experience working with creative, production or content teams.
