About the Role

Nottingham Forest Women are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Head Coach to lead on all on‑pitch activities for Nottingham Forest Women’s U21 Pro game Academy, with responsibility for the implementation of the methodology and individual development of players in the Pro Game Academy.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Bring an innovative and enthusiastic attitude to the standard required by NFFC, coaching within the PGA to develop players of excellent quality.
  • Support the transition of players from the PGA to the first team environment when required.
  • Lead the selection discussion for the PGA team on match days with the multi‑disciplinary team as part of the discussion.
  • Support and manage the PGA team on match days to ensure the playing and coaching philosophy is being carried out.
  • Following all games, watch videos of the game and assist the video analyst in preparing engaging and new ways to feedback to the players.
  • Be involved in the decision‑making process regarding signing trialists and signing and releasing Academy players.
  • Complete all administration tasks relevant to the job on time and to the highest possible standards as required by the club to meet PGAAC audit requirements.
  • Ensure that all players, parents and staff in their charge act in an appropriate fashion as required by their relevant Nottingham Forest Code of Conduct.
  • Promptly communicate with the Head of Girls Academy any important information regarding their work (e.g., may arrive late and reasons why; information on players).
  • Take part in development activities, both inside and outside the club, which will improve the quality of their coaching and overall work. This will include ensuring all qualifications are up‑to‑date and additional, relevant qualifications are undertaken when appropriate and agreed with the Head of Girls Academy.
  • Drive club transport when required.
  • Implement all reasonable tasks as instructed by the Head of Girls Academy and Head of Women.
