This is a rewarding, community-based role where you will support children aged 0-16, who have experienced or been impacted by domestic abuse, helping them feel safe, valued, and empowered. About the Role
- Plan, organise and deliver engaging activities for children aged 0-16, supporting their development and wellbeing.
- Provide practical and emotional support to children and their parents.
- Develop and review individual support plans, tailored to each child's needs.
- Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a high-quality service.
- Maintain accurate records in line with safeguarding and compliance standards.
- Carry out risk assessments and contribute to safeguarding processes, including attending meetings where required.
- Ensure a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all families.
This is a community-based childcare role, so a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (with business insurance) is essential.
What We're Looking For
- Qualified to Level 3 NVQ in Childcare/Play, NNEB or equivalent (or working towards).
- Experienced in childcare, play work, or family support roles.
- Knowledgeable in safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Passionate about supporting diverse communities and committed to NCHA's CLEAR values.
