As a Technology Service Desk Assistant, you'll be a key part of our Service Desk team, supporting colleagues across the organisation with administrative support, system updates and first-line IT support. This is an ideal entry-level IT role for someone who is organised, customer-focused and eager to grow their career in technology.
In this IT support role, you'll gain hands-on experience in a busy Service Desk environment, building your technical knowledge while delivering excellent customer service. You'll support day-to-day operations and help ensure our technology services run smoothly.
What you'll be doing
- Logging and managing IT support tickets within a busy Service Desk environment
- Providing friendly, patient first-line technical support to colleagues
- Maintaining the IT asset register, including equipment tracking and warranties
- Ordering IT equipment, monitoring stock levels and supporting procurement
- Updating system documentation and knowledge bases
- Supporting wider Technology Services administration, including scheduling and telecoms tasks
- Ensuring all IT records, systems and data are accurate and well-maintained
What you'll have
- Strong communication skills and a passion for customer service and IT support
- Good IT, numeracy and literacy skills, including experience using Microsoft Office
- The ability to organise your workload, meet deadlines and maintain accurate records
- Experience working in a customer-focused or helpdesk environment
