Southwell Road East is a registered care home for adultswith mental health and learning disabilities, with complex and challengingneeds. Southwell Road East is a step-down service for adults that have beendischarged from long-term admissions in psychiatric units.

Your duties and responsibilities will generally changeday-to-day depending on the needs of our customers and therefore you must beadaptable to change. As a brief overview, these may include but are not limitedto:
Providing personal care Helping with domestic duties (e.g. cooking) Being a great listener and providing emotional support Administering medications Helping our customers to access work, education or training.

You will be patient,understanding and have the ability to be able to nurture positive behaviour inthe right way. For example, you may have to use restraint with a customer – butdon't worry if you haven't got experience, we will provide all the training yourequire.
Previous experience of working with adults with social,emotional and mental health disorders is beneficial. However, full training anddevelopment will be provided. If this sounds like you – you'll be a greataddition to our friendly team! Working hours
The role is on a 24/7 shift rota basis, including weekends,nights, sleep-ins, bank holidays, although the emphasis will be on those timeswhen customers need most support. About You
