Housing Project Workers needed for a new project in Nottingham. This opportunity within our 28-bed temporary accommodation service for single adults experiencing homelessness is perfect for someone who thrives in a role that blends practical support, housing progression, and person-centred guidance. You will play a key part in helping residents build stability, develop essential life skills, and move on into long-term housing typically within 6 months.
Key Responsibilities
- Housing & Move-On Support
- Create and monitor Move-On Plans and Ready-to-Move Plans within the first week of arrival.
- Support residents to understand tenancy responsibilities, set up bank accounts, manage budgets, and access welfare or debt advice.
- Ensure Personal Housing Plans (PHPs) are reviewed and updated promptly.
- Support residents to register for housing options including Homelink, Registered Provider portals, and private rented opportunities.
- Build relationships with local authorities, private landlords, NPRAS and Registered Providers to increase move-on options.
- Facilitate or attend property viewings and help residents set up their new home (utilities, furniture grants, GP/dentist registration).
- Operational & Safety Responsibilities
- Support Housing Benefit applications and maximise income opportunities.
- Complete weekly flat health and safety checks.
- Log incidents, risks and concerns in line with policy.
- Address non-engagement through persistent, flexible support and escalate concerns where necessary.

- Confident using basic IT (emails, Word, updating records).

Working Hours
37 Hours a week. Shifts include:
- 07:15 - 14:30
- 13:15 - 20:45
- 20:45 - 07:00
