This is a critical position within our Corporate Health & Safety team, providing professional advice and support across the organisation. You will work closely with managers and teams to help maintain high standards of health and safety, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and supporting continuous improvement.

You will contribute to the delivery of the Corporate Health & Safety Strategy, helping to embed a positive safety culture and ensure effective risk management across a wide range of services, including housing and care and support environments.

As part of the role, you will:

  • Coordinate audits, inspections and policy reviews
  • Support incident reporting, investigation and the implementation of learning outcomes
  • Monitor compliance with health and safety legislation and internal standards
  • Provide guidance to managers on risk assessments and safe systems of work
  • Contribute to training delivery, communications and safety initiatives
  • Support the development and continuous improvement of H&S systems and processes

You will need to hold a NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) and Graduate IOSH status, with a commitment to progressing towards Chartered Membership (CMIOSH).

We are looking for someone with a strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practice, who can communicate effectively and influence positive behaviours. You will be well organised, able to manage multiple priorities, and have experience supporting risk management, audits or compliance activities.

You will also be confident using systems and data to monitor performance and support reporting, with a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

At NCHA, you will be part of a supportive organisation that values collaboration, professionalism and making a real difference. This is a great opportunity to develop your experience and contribute to a function that is central to how we operate safely and effectively.

This is a permanent, full-time role where you will work on a hybrid basis between home and our new office in Clifton, Nottingham. You will need to travel to different NCHA sites on occasion, so a driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.
