Nottingham Community Housing Association (NCHA) – Non Executive Director
Location: Nottingham (with occasional travel across the East Midlands)
Time Commitment: Approximately 12 meetings per year
Remuneration: £6,553 per annum

Nottingham Community Housing Association (NCHA) is seeking to appoint a new Non-Executive Board Member with expertise in technology and cyber security to join our experienced and values-led Board.
For over 50 years, NCHA has been a trusted provider of homes and care services across the East Midlands. With over 10,000 properties and a turnover of £100 million, we continue to invest in new homes and improved services to meet the evolving needs of our communities. About the Role
As a Board Member, you will work collectively with fellow non-executives and the executive team to guide the strategic direction of the organisation. You’ll play a crucial role in ensuring NCHA meets its regulatory obligations while remaining focused on delivering positive outcomes for customers and colleagues.
This vacancy is specifically for an individual with a background in technology and cyber security. Your insights will help strengthen the organisation’s digital resilience, guide our digital transformation journey, and support safe innovation in housing and care delivery.
Your commitment will include attendance at Board meetings, a strategic away day, and membership of one of NCHA’s Committees. The expected time commitment is around 12 meetings per year, plus preparation time and ad hoc engagements as required.
Key responsibilities include:
- Contributing to strategic planning and oversight of performance, compliance, and risk
- Challenging constructively and supporting the executive leadership team
- Championing an organisational culture of openness, inclusion, and accountability
About You
We are particularly interested in individuals who bring:
- Senior-level experience in technology, digital strategy, or cyber security
- Prior non-executive or Board-level experience, although not essential.
- A collaborative mindset, sound judgement, and the ability to influence constructively
- A strong connection to the East Midlands or an understanding of the regional housing landscape
- A commitment to our values and the communities we serve
