Assistant Manager – Young Persons Service

Salary: £26,737 – £30,389 per annum
Location: Balderton
Hours: 37 hours per week

What You’ll Do
As Assistant Manager, you’ll play a key role in leading and developing our service. Your responsibilities will include:
- Recruiting, inducting, and supporting new colleagues
- Coaching and motivating your team through supervisions, development plans, and CLEAR conversations
- Ensuring health & safety compliance and quality standards are met
- Managing budgets and achieving income/expenditure targets
- Building strong partnerships with local agencies, schools, and employers
- Contributing to wider organisational initiatives to improve services
What We’re Looking For
- A minimum Level 2 NVQ/Diploma/Apprenticeship in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
- Commitment to achieving a Level 3 qualification while in post
- Strong knowledge of issues affecting young people and a passion for supporting them
- Resilience, humour, and compassion – living our values of Caring, Learning, Enthusiastic, Accountable, and Resilient
- Excellent communication skills to engage with young people, colleagues, and external partners
- A full driving licence and access to a car
Working Hours
- 37 hours per week
- Rota-based, covering 365 days a year (including weekends and bank holidays)
- Shifts: 7:00 am–2:30 pm or 2:30 pm–10:00 pm
- Rotas are planned in advance to support work‑life balance
