Are you passionate about making a positive difference in people’s lives through social care? We’re looking for a compassionate, motivated, and reliable Support Worker to join our team at Watson Road, a supported living service for adults with enduring mental health needs.

This role is all about empowering individuals with mental health conditions and learning disabilities, to live independently, make informed choices, and enjoy fulfilling lives. We use a trauma-informed and strengths-based approach to support each person’s journey.

About The Service

Located in Worksop, Watson Road is a large, family-style house with four fully furnished en-suite bedrooms, a communal lounge, kitchen, and garden. The service supports adults aged 18+ with mental health diagnoses, helping them build life skills, manage tenancies, and move on to more independent living. Support is tailored to each individual, with a focus on empowerment, recovery, and wellbeing.

This is a 24-hour service, operating 7 days a week. Shifts include:

  • 7:00am – 2:30pm
  • 2:30pm – 10:00pm
  • 10:00pm – 7:00am (waking nights)

Weekend availability is essential. Watson Road is located in Worksop town centre and access to a car or reliable transport is strongly recommended to ensure you can attend shifts on time.

  • Providing face-to-face support tailored to each person’s needs
  • Supporting service users with tenancy management and home care
  • Promoting daily living skills, budgeting, and wellbeing
  • Writing and reviewing risk assessments, following safeguarding procedures, legislation, and health & safety standards
  • Building strong relationships with families, social workers, and other professionals
  • Administering medication and coordinating shifts on a rota basis
  • Maintaining accurate records using IT systems (basic IT skills required)
