We're looking for a dedicatedSupport Workerto join our friendly and supportive service in Retford, helping young people develop the confidence, resilience and independence needed for adult life.
Role overview
As a Young People's Support Worker, you'll support young people living semi-independently to develop life skills, achieve personal goals and move successfully into permanent accommodation. You'll act as a positive role model, mentor and advocate, helping young people make informed choices and overcome barriers to reaching their potential.
Key responsibilities
In this role every day can be different, but parts of your day may look like: Supporting young people to develop independence, confidence and life skills. Developing, implementing and reviewing individual support plans and risk assessments. Helping young people access education, employment and training opportunities. Supporting with daily living activities, including budgeting, managing bills, cooking and household responsibilities. Encouraging participation in leisure activities and engagement within the local community. Working collaboratively with external agencies and support networks. Advocating for young people and work closely with external agencies and professionals. Maintaining accurate records and contribute to safeguarding responsibilities.
