Young Person's Support Worker - Newark
Location: Newark
Salary: £24,871 - £25,371 per annum

We're looking for caring and motivated Support Workers to join our Branching Out Newark team, supporting young people aged 16-21 living in supported accommodation. You'll help young people build confidence, develop essential life skills and move towards independent living and permanent accommodation.
About the Role
As a Support Worker, you'll provide practical and emotional support to help young people achieve their goals and overcome challenges. You'll build positive, professional relationships while empowering young people to make informed choices and develop the skills they need to live independently.
What You'll Be Doing
No two days are the same, but you'll typically:
Support young people to develop independence, confidence and life skills.
Create, review and update support plans and risk assessments.
Help young people access education, employment and training opportunities.
Support with budgeting, cooking, managing bills and maintaining a home.
Encourage participation in activities and engagement within the local community.
Work with partner agencies and professionals to achieve positive outcomes.
Advocate on behalf of young people where appropriate.
Maintain accurate records and contribute to safeguarding responsibilities.
Promote a safe, positive and supportive living environment.
