The Service Ashland Road Westis a registered care home located in Sutton-in-Ashfield. We provide person-centred care to ten service users with moderate to profound learning disabilities, physical disabilities, communication needs and complex healthcare related requirements. We support people with behaviours that challenge and provide full training to our colleagues to be confident in their supporting abilities Every day, we do all we can to help our service users be as independent as possible by working together as a team and having their best interests at the heart of everything we do.We are looking for an enthusiastic team player to come and join our family of expert colleagues. The Role As a Support Worker, your role will involve helping service users to live as independently as possible. The life of a Learning Disability Support Worker includes supporting service users with personal care,day trips out, playing games, sensory experiences and even watching the odd movie! In addition to this, some of your main duties will include but are not limited to: Supporting with visits to health appointments, day trips and holidays Administrating medication Providing emotional support Supporting and encouragingengagement inlearning opportunities High levels of personal care including washing, bathing, dressing and feeding service users
