Do you have experience in fire compliance? Do you want to help keep people safe in their homes and communities? Here at Nottingham Community Housing Association (NCHA), we have an exciting opportunity to join our friendly and supportive team as a Compliance Contracts Officer. Our team plays a vital role in ensuring our homes meet all fire safety and regulatory standards, helping to keep our customers safe. This is a varied and rewarding role where you will support the delivery of fire compliance across our housing portfolio.

What you'll be doing

  • Overseeing fire safety programmes, including Fire Risk Assessments and Fire Door Inspections
  • Monitoring compliance activity and ensuring works are completed within required timescales
  • Logging, maintaining, and managing compliance records in line with policy and regulation
  • Identifying and escalating risks or instances of non-compliance
  • Supporting procurement and contract management processes
  • Monitoring contractor performance and ensuring service standards are met
  • Carrying out pre- and post-inspections of compliance works
  • Supporting wider maintenance and refurbishment works linked to fire safety

Working pattern

35 hours per week Monday to Friday (core daytime hours) Flexible and hybrid working opportunities

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced in a fire compliance or housing compliance role
  • Knowledgeable in the Big 6 areas of compliance
  • Highly organised, with strong attention to detail
  • Able to analyse information, apply policy, and make sound decisions
  • A confident communicator who can work effectively with a range of stakeholders
  • A full UK driving licence is required
