As one of the faces of NCHA, you’ll be expected to be on-site each day, creating exceptional first impressions and supporting colleagues, visitors and partners across the organisation.
What You’ll Do
As our Workplaces Assistant, you’re much more than a receptionist – you’re a key part of our Workplaces Team and a vital link across the business. You’ll be the first port of call, helping people feel welcome, solving problems and keeping our head office running smoothly by:
- Creating a warm, friendly welcome for everyone entering the building
- Coordinating meeting rooms, hospitality, and events
- Managing deliveries, office supplies, and systems confidently
- Supporting facilities and maintenance tasks
- Carrying out building checks to ensure a safe, tidy, compliant space
- Handling phone, email, and face‑to‑face enquiries professionally
- Remaining calm, proactive, and solutions‑focused in busy moments
- Supporting colleagues in distress and handling conflict sensitively
You’ll be an approachable, trusted point of contact who keeps the workplace running at its best.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Warm, welcoming, and people‑focused
- A confident communicator who thrives in a busy environment
- Reliable, organised, and great at multitasking
- Comfortable using digital systems and Microsoft Office
- Calm under pressure and able to manage challenging situations
- Happy to rotate weekly between the 8am–4pm and 10am–6pm shifts
GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent) are essential. Experience in facilities or health and safety is desirable, but full training will be provided.
