Join us at NCHA as a Multi-Site Services Officer and play a vital role in maintaining our properties and supporting our tenants, ensuring the safety, cleanliness, and upkeep of our properties, enhancing the quality of life for our tenants.
What You’ll Do:
- Repairs & Maintenance: Diagnose and carry out basic repairs, decorative touch-ups, and coordinate major repair works with contractors.
- Health & Safety: Conduct regular safety inspections, test communal systems, and report risks or faults.
- Community Support: Monitor communal areas, provide tenants with advice, and report anti-social behaviour or issues like fly-tipping.
- Contractor Oversight: Ensure cleaning and grounds maintenance contractors meet high standards and report any concerns.
- Team Collaboration: Support colleagues during absences and attend tenant meetings when needed.
What We’re Looking For:
We’re looking for someone who knows their way around maintenance and repairs and is comfortable using the tools and equipment that come with the job. It’s important that you’ve got a good grasp of Health and Safety rules and have some background in caretaking or a similar role. Plus, you should be tech-savvy enough to handle basic gadgets like iPads, smartphones, and emails for reporting. Experience in keeping an eye on contractors' work and giving them feedback is a big plus. And of course, you’ve got to be great at managing your time and sticking to procedures and instructions.
A valid UK manual driving licence will also be required for the role.
