As our Business Support Administrator, you’ll play a key role in supporting the Homes & Wellbeing directorate by delivering a comprehensive administrative and postal service to teams across our head office. Your contribution will ensure that essential operational tasks run efficiently, information is managed accurately, and colleagues have the resources they need to deliver high‑quality services to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing all incoming mail each day
- Distributing internal and external mail by hand or electronically
- Managing outgoing post, including franked and special delivery
- Maintaining the franking machine and postal supplies
- Providing print and post support for Homes & Wellbeing teams
- Processing social value and service‑user surveys
- Maintaining stationery stock levels and processing requests for other NCHA offices
- Restocking stationery cupboards in the Clifton office
- Checking deliveries and monitoring inventory spreadsheets
- Updating and maintaining key databases and electronic filing systems
- Processing time‑critical information in line with procedures
- Logging local authority expressions of interest for care home vacancies
- Managing archiving processes, including arranging destruction to retention rules
- Coordinating biannual project visits across NCHA services
- Supporting the team with filing, photocopying, shredding and diary admin
- Producing mail‑merge letters and documents
- Processing invoices, eBis orders (including uniforms and legal requests)
- Sourcing cost‑effective goods and services
- Managing the team inbox and responding to internal queries
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Administrator to join our Business Support Team, providing high‑quality administrative support across the Homes and Wellbeing department. You’ll bring substantial experience in an administrative role, strong organisational skills, good numeracy and literacy, and the ability to work well under pressure while managing a varied workload. With strong IT skills—including word processing, data management and mail merges—you’ll take pride in delivering accurate work, enjoy a challenge, embrace change, and be ready to get stuck in as part of a small supportive team.
As a confident communicator, you’ll liaise effectively with internal colleagues and external contacts to support efficient service delivery. You will understand the needs of diverse communities and demonstrate a commitment to equality, inclusion and NCHA’s CLEAR values. Working Hours
35 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Core hours are 9am-5pm. This role is based in our Head Office, Clifton Place.
