We’re looking for an enthusiastic Communications and Engagement Officer to join our friendly, creative team and help us share our stories with colleagues, customers and stakeholders.

Role overview

As our Communications and Engagement Officer, you’ll play an important role in supporting the delivery of NCHA’s Communications and Engagement Strategy and wider business objectives. You'll help create and deliver engaging internal and external communications, support promotional activities and campaigns, and provide valuable administrative support to the team.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the Communications and Engagement team in delivering internal and external communications, promotional activities and campaigns
  • Help deliver wider business objectives through communication campaigns and engagement activities
  • Publish regular content on NCHA’s intranet and websites
  • Create internal and external email newsletters, brochures and digital signage to a range of audiences using appropriate software.
  • Help coordinate and deliver colleague, customer and stakeholder events
  • Provide administrative support for stakeholder engagement activities
  • Assist with maintaining and developing the Communications and Engagement team’s photo library and archive
  • Manage the team’s equipment and merchandise needs, including ordering and stock administration

Working pattern

This is a full-time, 12-month fixed term role, working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Some occasional out-of-hours working may be required to support events or urgent communications activity.

Ideal candidate

We’re looking for someone who is a confident communicator with plenty of enthusiasm and a positive, can-do approach. As a valued member of the Communications and Engagement team, you’ll be able to adapt your style to suit different audiences, write engaging copy and proofread accurately.

You’ll have experience using digital communications platforms, including content management systems, intranet, newsletter and survey software, along with experience working in an administrative environment.
