Together, we're making a positive difference to our learners, to our communities and to each other. We're building better futures, for others and for ourselves. Here, you'll have the freedom to work in a way that suits you, the support to thrive and the opportunity to shape your career.

Due to growth within the College's T Level provision, we have a new post within the Exams Team. You will join a welcoming team who play a key part in ensuring our exams processes run smoothly. We're looking for someone who can use their initiative to drive forward improvements within our T Level assessment processes, build relationships with curriculum teams and link in with the relevant awarding bodies. Previous experience and knowledge of T Levels or general exam processes would be an advantage, but is not essential as we will provide full training for the successful candidate.

You’ll have an eye for detail and work well with data, demonstrating the ability to process large volumes of data, whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy. You’ll ideally have experience of working within a team but also be able to work independently and without direct supervision and will work well when faced with tight deadlines. Although the majority of the role isn’t front facing with students, you will need to have a commitment to providing excellent customer service to those colleagues and customers you come into contact with and you will need to provide support to students during our busy enrolment and exams periods.

As a member of the Exams Team your role will be to support the processing and maintenance of student exam records using the College's student record system EBS. You will deal with queries from curriculum colleagues, other internal departments, students, parent/guardians and external awarding bodies and have the chance to contribute to the development of new processes and ways of working within the team. Specific tasks include:

  • Having a full understanding of the T Level assessment processes and assessment types, and registration processes.
  • Liaising with curriculum to plan in T Level assessments, including staffing and rooming, uploading evidence to relevant awarding body portals and managing T Level results.
  • Providing support to the Exams Technical Team Leaders to ensure the smooth running of all exam activities and that all exams data records are accurate and recorded in a timely manner.
  • Taking responsibility for the organisation and coordination of registrations and for the delivery of all college exams and assessments.
  • Take responsibility for the continuous development & improvement of team processes & procedures alongside the Exams Technical Team Leaders.
  • Supporting the Exams Technical Team Leaders with the recruitment and training of invigilation staff.
  • Deliver training and support to other Exam Team members and to other wider college teams.

Once settled into the role, you will have the opportunity to benefit from flexible working as the team work from home, as well as being based onsite at one of our city centre locations. In return, we will ask for flexibility in picking up additional tasks outside of our usual remit, which could include working a limited number of evenings and weekends during our main enrolment period.

Competitive salary: 26,478 to 29,234 per annum FTE. (This will be pro-rata for part time posts) 35 days Annual Leave + 8 Bank Holidays + Opportunity to purchase up to 5 days annual leave Access to Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS). Discounts at various stores and services across the UK via our Vivup App Various travel schemes including cycle to work, local transport season tickets and car salary sacrifice scheme Opportunities for professional development including 8 dedicated Continued Personal Development (CPD) days and our Request to Invest Programme.
