Job Responsibilities:
- Assist with and work under the direct supervision of the Air Traffic Engineering Team.
- Participate in the installation, repair, and maintenance of equipment such as:
- Voice Communication Systems
- VHF and UHF Radio Systems
- Radar and Radar Display Systems
- Radio Navigational Aids
- PC-based Flight Data and Networking Systems
- Meteorological Data Systems
- Airfield Ground Lighting equipment
- Other Ancillary Electrical and Electronic Equipment
Document and record all work as required by the Codes of Practice laid down by CAA/SRG and MAG Approved Maintenance Organisation.
To meet deadlines set by the Airfield Technical Manager and the Training provider through regular attendance and assessment, taking responsibility for personal development and setting goals to obtain the required technical and health and safety qualifications.
- Assist with routine departmental administrative tasks.
- Help control and document spares and stock.
- Work effectively as part of a team, demonstrating good communication skills with peers, managers, and Air Traffic Control. Seek assistance when needed.
- Be receptive to feedback for personal growth and development.
- Commit to ongoing learning, maintaining enthusiasm, flexibility, and a positive attitude.
- Seek knowledge about the airport environment to enhance learning.
- Understand the role of the section and department, and how the Engineering function integrates into the business.
