We are looking for a candidate with experience of Apprenticeships as a teaching assistant to join our team, supporting our learners to achieve the skills, knowledge and behaviours of their vocational course.

Key duties and responsibilities include:

  • Plan, prepare, design and deliver high quality teaching learning and assessment in the workplace.
  • Take responsibility for a caseload of apprentices and their E-portfolios, ensuring timely completion within agreed and appropriate timescales.
  • Ensure KPIs are achieved such as completing reviews, off the job is recorded and up to date, monitoring of attendance, recording of the learner journey, timely completion, etc.
  • Motivate and inspire all apprentices so that they are supported to achieve excellence and are encouraged to achieve their full potential including higher grades.
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the employers needs are met.

Please note, this is a fixed term position until 31st July 2027, working 18.5 hours over 3 days per week. Flexibility with which days each week.

What you'll bring:

The ideal candidate will come from industry or have previous assessing experience as a teaching assistant with a particular focus on Apprenticeships. You will have strong communication skills both written and verbal and be proactive in organising your workload.

Essential skills and experience include:

  • Hold a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (minimum level 3).
  • Experience within the sector (last 5 years).
  • Hold an assessing qualification or equivalent.
  • Understanding and experience of the delivery and assessment in subject area.
  • Demonstrate exceptional organisational and planning skills with ability to manage own diary.
  • A willingness to update own professional development.
  • Able to work effectively as a member of a team and have experience of successful team working and be committed to a team-based approach.
