Waste & Cleansing HGV/LGV Driver
Ready to take the wheel and lead from the front?
We\βre looking for a skilled and motivated Waste & Cleansing HGV/LGV Driver to join our frontline team. In this role, you\βll be more than just a driver- you\βll be a leader, ensuring essential services run smoothly and keeping Nottingham clean, safe, and welcoming for everyone.
What you\βll do
- Drive and take responsibility for our Waste & Cleansing vehicles (up to HGV)
- Lead and support a crew of up to 4 operatives, mentoring new drivers and helping the team succeed
- Deliver a wide range of services: refuse, recycling, street cleansing, and winter gritting support
- Always ensure safety β for yourself, your crew, and the public
- Carry out daily vehicle checks, basic maintenance, and keep vehicles roadworthy and presentable
- Use in-cab systems to keep services efficient and responsive
- Work flexibly across the city (and surrounding areas), in all weathers, as part of a dedicated public service team
Guaranteed Interview if you meet these 3 requirements:
- Hold a Category C (HGV Class II) driving licence
- Have a valid Driver CPC card
- Experience/knowledge of the safe operation and driving vehicles such as refuse collection vehicles, gritters and mainline sweepers
