About the Role:
- Leadership skills are essential to help support a small team.
- Excellent time management skills to manage service outputs in a busy environment.
- The team is required to fulfill statutory bereavement duties, including compliant administration of cremation and burial processes and accurate maintenance of required records.
- Collaboration with the wider service, colleagues and citizens to ensure the service is delivered in line with the service vision.
- Change and innovation experience to help progress the service improvements within the team.
- The role is varied so experience in finance and IT literacy are valuable skills.
About You:
- Previous experience of leading a team or project, delegating tasks, monitoring team performance, assisting team training and development.
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
- Ability to develop service specific IT software packages including case and document management systems to suit requirements.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of customers including vulnerable citizens and their families.
- Highly developed organisational and administrative skills.
- Effectively managing team tasks and projects.
- Handling urgent situations effectively and meeting tight deadlines, focusing on customer service excellence.
- Demonstrating personal commitment to the equality, diversity and inclusion challenges faced by our workforce and Nottingham’s people.
- Advanced understanding of business systems and administrative activities, with the ability to assist in monitoring budgets and providing financial data.
