Overview
To be part of the Plant Shop team, offering a high quality of customer care by serving and advising customers in the shop and at events.
Responsibilities
- To provide a front-line service by serving and advising customers in the shop.
- To maintain a constantly well-presented facility by ensuring the retail areas are clean and tidy.
- To operate a till, handle cash and take credit card payments in accordance with Nottingham City Council\’s financial regulations.
- To assist with basic administration tasks and completing daily records.
- To provide general information and convey a lively interest and knowledge of horticultural techniques and plants.
- To provide assistance and adhere to all health and safety, hygiene and security policies.
Qualifications
- Ability to communicate with a wide range of people
- Knowledge of horticultural techniques and plants
- Experience of using tills and handling cash and card payments
- Willingness to work weekends
- Van driving experience is useful but not essential
Salary
Salary: Starting Salary is £24,413 – £25,185 per annum (pro-rata for part-time) (£12.65 per hour +12.05% holiday pay accrual per hour)
