A Personal Assistant is required to support an individual to maintain levels of independence and meet care and support needs within the home and out in the community.
Role Requirements
- Cooking meals
- Cleaning the home
- Medication prompting
- Accessing the community to go shopping and attend groups of interest
The client enjoys being supported to remain as independent as possible, getting out into the community to take part in activities of interest, music, comedy and sports. They have a guide dog.
The client has been diagnosed with:
- An acquired brain injury
- Visual impairment
- Muscle weakness
- Organic personality disorder
- Type 2 diabetes
They are able to communicate their views and wishes. This opportunity is suited for someone who is responsible, reliable, patient, friendly, and respectful of others’ privacy, dignity, values, and beliefs.
Benefits for an employed PA include:
- 5.6 weeks paid annual leave (pro rata)
