About the Role
Highway Services are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to support the delivery of new highway schemes in Nottingham, contributing to the Council’s Carbon Neutral 2028 Plan with an estimated turnover of £10 million per annum. The role will lead a team in highway operations across the city, improving construction site management, plant, materials, and temporary site compounds.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience in road construction and maintenance, with ability to supervise teams and oversee site operations.
- SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme) certification and relevant qualifications (e.g. CSCS card, NVQ, Street Works).
- Strong knowledge of health & safety regulations, risk assessments, and traffic management.
- Leadership, communication, and organisational skills to manage workforce and ensure work is completed to standard.
- Flexible and reliable, with ability to manage shifts, deadlines, and multiple work sites.
This post is covered by the statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016). Speaking fluent English is an essential requirement for the role.
