Nottingham City Council is looking for a Development and Change Facilitator to join our HR & Equality, Diversity and Inclusion team. This is a pivotal role in supporting our workforce to deliver the Council's strategic priorities through leadership development, learning initiatives, and change capability.

About the role

  • Design, deliver, and coordinate a wide range of learning and development programmes, including presenting to stakeholders across the Council.
  • Support leadership development and organisational change initiatives.
  • Deliver vocational qualifications, mentoring, coaching, and other development opportunities aligned with the Council's competency framework.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across HR, Organisational Development, and other services to identify learning needs and create impactful interventions.
  • Ensure all learning activity is evaluated, recorded, and continuously improved.
  • Support leadership development and organisational change projects.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and external providers.
  • Contribute to workforce projects and corporate priorities.
  • Champion equality, diversity, and inclusion in all development activity.
  • Maintain accurate learning data for reporting, audit, and evaluation.

About you

You will be an excellent communicator, confident working with colleagues at all levels, and able to build strong relationships across the organisation. You will have:

  • A strong understanding of learning, development, and change practice.
  • The ability to deliver engaging presentations to stakeholders at all levels, effectively using a range of digital and in‑person presentation tools to communicate ideas clearly and confidently.
  • Experience in mentoring, coaching, or facilitating group learning.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Relevant qualifications and/or evidence of continuous professional development.
  • Experience in a complex or public sector organisation, project management, and digital/virtual learning tools is desirable.
