About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Cleaning team as a Cleaner in Charge. The role involves the supervision of a cleaning team within a clinical setting. The successful applicant would also be responsible for opening up and locking the site each day. We are looking for candidates who enjoy working in a busy environment, as part of a team, and who are able to communicate at all levels. Experience in cleaning is essential, and supervision of a cleaning team is desirable but not essential as training will be given.
Duties will include:
- Day to day supervision of cleaning staff
- Reporting any and all faults to the site manager/your manager
- Complying with statutory legislation and safe working practices
- Monitoring aspects of health and safety
- Training cleaning staff in all aspects of cleaning
- General cleaning such as sweeping, mopping, polishing, and dusting
- Cleaning and maintaining cleanliness of sanitary wares
- Use of electrical cleaning machinery e.g. buffing machine and wet pick-ups
You will play a vital role as part of a large team of Cleaners in Charge and Cleaners across the city. However, this post is predominantly one where you will be expected to work using your own initiative and program your daily routine to meet the needs of the site. Protective clothing and other PPE will be provided as required.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience of cleaning to clear set out standards
- Experience of day to day team supervision
- Basic understanding of different cleaning methods and equipment
- Basic awareness of Health and Safety
- Able to communicate at all levels
- Experience of being part of a team
