HIAB Tow Truck Driver

Join Nottingham City Council as a HIAB Tow Truck Driver, supporting traffic flow and safety across Nottingham.

  • Shift-based (early mornings, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays)

Nottingham Vehicle Pound, Unit 8, Vision Business Park, Firth Way, Bulwell, Nottingham, NG6 8GF

Salary

£28,598 per annum (Level one) rising to £31,022 per annum (pro‑rate for part‑time).

About the Role

You will be based at the Parking Enforcement Pound and deployed across Nottingham to operate a HIAB-equipped LGV vehicle. This role is essential in maintaining road safety and accessibility for all.

About You

  • Valid Class 2 (Category C) LGV licence (HIAB certification preferable)
  • Experience operating large vehicles and lifting equipment
  • Strong understanding of health and safety practices
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication skills and a professional attitude
  • Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Fluency in English (statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016)
  • DBS basic check required for the post
