About the Roles

The Office Opps Team have two different roles available we are looking for flexible, adaptable people to join our pool of casual Business Support staff. We can offer work in a range of clerical, administrative, data and customer services (call handling) roles. Assignments are council wide, and applicants must be willing to work at any location within the city to meet the requirements of the role. Hybrid working is available in many roles, depending on the assignment.

Both assignments have regular, full time hours available. Currently, we are particularly looking for experienced candidates who are available to work full time. Rates of pay are dependent on the role but are typically from £13.26 to £13.90 depending on experience.

About You

Office Opps Essential Requirements:

  • Experience of providing efficient and effective administrative/business support
  • Good working knowledge and experience of using a range of office processes, procedures and systems
  • Extensive experience of using the MS Office suite, and ability to use in house IT systems
  • Experience of planning and organising own workload and be able to work flexibly in a pressured environment
  • Ability to work accurately, and produce quality documents from standard formats/maintain accurate records using a range of IT applications
  • Ability to use initiative to identify and actively resolve problems, knowing when to escalate these
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate with a range of people at all levels in a range of formats
  • Good understanding of customer service, with the ability to deal effectively with conflict/difficult situations as they arise

HR Role Essential Requirements:

The successful candidate must be able to work on their own initiative in a fast-paced environment. The post holders\' main duties will be financial administration, supporting multiple teams within HR, data inputting and analysis, supporting meetings (minute taking), organising events and dealing with a variety of enquiries. This is an excellent opportunity for a team player with a flexible and motivated approach to working.

  • Excellent Communication skills - a good telephone manner and a good standard of writing.
  • IT skills - especially working with Microsoft Office packages
  • Excellent attention to detail - processing manual and computerised records, including numerical data.
  • Highly organised and ability to prioritise your work.
