About the Role
Placement Technical Specialist – 12‑month fixed‑term placement on the Agile Development Team or Digital Services Team. Support vital IT systems in social care, education, school transport and highway maintenance. Learn and contribute to our Microsoft Power Platform, chatbots, Python, SQL, Drupal‑based website development and other technology stacks.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather user requirements
- Build and maintain applications or websites
- Translate user requirements into functional software
- Maintain software platforms
- Resolve incidents promptly
- Write front‑end and back‑end code for changes and fixes
- Engage with stakeholders
- Document solutions for future support and training
- Support team members and other Technical Specialists
Required Qualifications
- Currently studying a degree related to IT and application development, software engineering, AI or other data‑driven solutions
- Strong problem‑solving and communication skills
