Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment ensuring senior leaders have the support they need? Then we are looking for you. We have a vacancy for a PA to support the Assistant Directors and Heads of Service in our Adults & Cultural Service Department. The department is responsible for a wide range of services including Adult Social care, Libraries, Museums, County parks and Adult Learning service. This role puts you right in the centre of the department supporting the delivery of services that make a real difference to people’s lives.

About the Role

The role is based in our small but mighty secretariat team in the heart of the department. You will be expected to provide high quality administrative, secretariat and personal assistant support. You must have the relevant skills and experience to operate at this level. You should expect contact with senior managers across the organisation, partner organisations, councillors and the public. Due to the nature of the departments business, you will handle sensitive and confidential information and therefore will need to treat this inline with corporate policy and national legislation.

About You

To apply for this post, you must be able to evidence in your application how you meet the following criteria:

  • Have experience of providing support to senior managers within a secretariat/business support service
  • Be able to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing to a wide range of stakeholders
  • Be able to evidence a professional, diplomatic and tactful approach
  • Show experience of dealing with customers and delivering excellent customer service
  • Demonstrate an understanding and recognition of the importance of data protection and confidentiality
  • Experience/knowledge of administering and minuting meetings
  • Good working knowledge of the Microsoft suite of products
