Nottingham City Council is offering a fixed-term apprenticeship for approximately 3 years, with a salary ranging from £28,598 to £31,022 per annum (pro rata for part-time). The position is full-time, requiring 37 hours of work per week, including day and evening shifts, finishing at 9.30pm. The location is Loxley House, Station Street, Nottingham, NG2 3NG, with citywide working.
This apprenticeship provides an opportunity to earn while you learn, gaining a degree in Youth Work from Nottingham Trent University. You will work directly with young people across various youth hubs, delivering engaging sessions and supporting their personal development and wellbeing.

Study Commitment: Face-to-face teaching will occur at NTU Mansfield Campus one day every two weeks, starting in January 2027. Additionally, six hours of online off-the-job learning are required during alternate weeks.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Aged 18 years or over at the start of the apprenticeship.
- Employed for a minimum of 15 hours per week for the full duration of the programme, ending on 31 October 2029.
- Demonstrate motivation and ability to study successfully at degree level.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to attend NTU Mansfield Campus one day every two weeks and complete six hours of online learning during alternate weeks.
- Hold a Level 3 qualification, preferably the National Youth Agency (NYA) Level 3 Youth Work qualification (not essential).
- Experience of working or volunteering with young people, or relevant lived experience of youth work (desirable but not essential).
Note that English and Maths qualifications are not required for entry; however, apprentices aged 18–19 who do not already hold these qualifications may be required to achieve them as part of the apprenticeship.

Your enthusiasm, commitment, and willingness to make a difference are what matter most. Upon successful completion, you will achieve a BA (Hons) in Youth Work and a professionally recognised Youth Work qualification endorsed by the National Youth Agency.
