About the Role

The Principal Enforcement Officer is responsible for leading and supervising the investigation of the most serious complex issues such as:

  • Persistent Anti-social behaviour (ASB)
  • Environmental crime
  • Serious neighbour disputes
  • Community safety issues
  • Public Space Protection Orders (PSPOs)
  • Community Trigger cases
  • High-risk victims and witnesses

The role combines operational leadership, case supervision, enforcement expertise, partnership working and problem solving. Including being the area lead for Community Triggers/ASB case reviews, representing the Council at multi-agency meetings and managing projects such as implementing Public Spaces Protection Orders and area based problem solving.

Rather than simply carrying their own caseload, they are expected to ensure that other officers investigate cases properly, use legislation correctly, protect vulnerable victims, and deliver successful enforcement outcomes.

This post leads and manages the South Anti-social Behaviour Team covering Clifton, Meadows, Sneinton and St Ann's, managing four ASB Enforcement Officers
