About the Role:
This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Class 2F Registered Building Inspector to play a leading role in the future of Building Control in Nottingham. You will be one of the senior technical specialists within our growing service, leading on some of the city's most complex and challenging projects. From significant commercial developments to higher-risk and complex buildings, you will use your expertise to help ensure that construction across Nottingham meets the highest standards of safety and compliance.
The role offers the opportunity to influence service development, mentor and support fellow surveyors, and help build the capability of our expanding team. You will work closely with senior leaders, developers, design teams and construction professionals, providing trusted technical advice and helping to shape quality development across the city.

About You:
- A Registered Building Inspector (minimum Class 2F) with a proven ability to assess complex applications, inspect high-risk buildings and make sound technical decisions that protect public safety.
- A natural leader and mentor who can provide technical guidance to colleagues, support the development of junior surveyors and confidently deputise for the Building Control Manager when required.
- A commercially aware and customer-focused professional with experience building strong client relationships, supporting business growth, managing competing priorities and delivering high-quality outcomes.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to undertake site inspections and attend meetings as required.
This post is covered by the statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) (English Language Requirement for public sector workers) and therefore the ability to speak fluent English is an essential requirement for the role.
