About the Role
The Employer Engagement and Apprenticeship Officer will provide a tailored service to support employers to recruit and increase opportunities for individuals who are furthest from the labour market. This role supports Nottingham's economic growth and helps residents access sustainable employment opportunities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Working across a diverse range of sectors and employers to shape recruitment solutions that meet business needs.
- Creating pathways into work, apprenticeships and skills development for local people.
- Building strong partnerships and influencing employer engagement activity.
- Developing bespoke packages of recruitment and people development solutions based on workforce needs.
- Stimulating and nurturing demand for apprenticeships from employers.
- Connecting local employers with talent across the city.
- Building partnerships with training providers and delivery organisations.
- Contributing to the delivery of key project outcomes and performance targets.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience of employer engagement, business development, recruitment or workforce development activity.
- Knowledge of apprenticeships, employment and skills programmes.
- Experience of building and maintaining effective relationships with employers, stakeholders and delivery partners.
- Strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
- A proactive and solution-focused approach.
- A commitment to improving outcomes for local residents and supporting inclusive economic growth.
