Salary: Starting Salary is £26,824 (Level One) rising to £27,694 (Level Three) per annum (pro rata for part-time) (Pay award pending)

About the Role

As a Crematorium Technician, you will assist in the day-to-day operation of the Council’s crematoriums, ensuring all cremations are carried out in strict accordance with legislation, environmental requirements and best practice. You will play a key role in supporting bereaved families, funeral directors and colleagues by delivering services with care, respect and sensitivity at all times.

About You

  • Experience of working in an operational or technical environment, ideally within bereavement or public services.
  • A calm, respectful and compassionate approach when working with bereaved families and members of the public.
  • An understanding of the importance of health, safety, environmental compliance and accurate record keeping.
  • A strong commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion, respecting religious, cultural and personal beliefs.
