About the Role
By joining ESPO's energy Contract Support Officer team, you’ll be part of a highly successful professional buying organisation that provides cost effective procurement and supply services to the public sector. ESPO is owned and governed by a consortium of six local authority members based in the East Midlands, with Leicestershire County Council acting as the employer. We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Bill Validation Analyst to join our Energy Management team. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of utility billing data across our property portfolio, helping to identify discrepancies, recover overcharges, and support effective energy cost management. Working closely with energy suppliers, internal stakeholders, and third-party service providers, you will validate electricity, gas, water, and other utility invoices against contractual rates, consumption data, and regulatory requirements. You will investigate billing anomalies, resolve queries, and maintain accurate records to support financial control and reporting.
