About the Role
Love drumming? Want to inspire the next generation of musicians? We're looking for a talented and enthusiastic Drum Teacher to join Leicestershire Music. You'll deliver drum kit lessons in schools across the county, helping children and young people build skills, confidence and a lifelong enjoyment of music. You'll also support bands, ensembles and performances, helping us meet growing demand for drum tuition across Leicestershire. This role is currently 5 hours per week, with the potential to grow as demand for lessons increases, making it an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build and develop their teaching career within a supportive music service. An enhanced with barred list DBS check is required for this post.
About You
To apply for this post, you must:
- Qualification or experience demonstrating a high level of musical understanding, awareness and proficiency in your area of specialism
- Strong drum kit performance skills
- Experience of teaching, coaching or working with children and young people
- Ability to deliver engaging lessons for learners of different ages and abilities
- Knowledge of instrumental teaching and musical progression
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of how to differentiate teaching to meet the interests, needs, and learning styles of a wide range of children and young people
