About the Role
Responsible for supporting the Stock Condition Survey Manager to maintain the organisations property asset database, by undertaking surveys of Nottingham City Council Housing Services (NCCHS) stock. You will:
Support the Stock Condition Survey Manager in gathering and updating housing asset data.
Inspect homes to record condition and help identify repair and improvement needs.
Work alongside experienced surveyors and housing teams to ensure properties meet safety, legal and quality standards.
Receive full training and development to grow your surveying expertise.
About You
We welcome applicants from housing, trades, maintenance, and construction backgrounds . Previous surveying experience is not required full training will be provided. The ideal candidate will have:
Experience in housing, property maintenance, or a trade (e.g. carpentry, plumbing, electrics, plastering, general building)
Good knowledge of domestic building types and property upkeep
A willingness to learn surveying methods, regulations, and reporting tools
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Motivation to build a career in housing and property management
Previous surveying qualifications are not essential, but an HNC in Building Surveying or equivalent would be an advantage.
