The predicted salary is between 13412 - 13847 £ per year.

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Hours: 18.5 hours per week, 8:30am - 4:50pm, Thursday, Friday and alternate Wednesdays

Worker Type: Hybrid Worker

Salary: Salary Grade D - £26,824 (Level one) rising to £27,694 per annum (Level three), actual pro rata amount is £13,412 - £13,847 per annum.

As a Housing Officer within Nottingham City Council’s Housing Services, you’ll play a vital role in supporting tenants, leaseholders, and applicants across the city. This is a varied and rewarding position where you’ll provide housing advice, assist with tenancy and estate management, and help customers access safe, secure, and affordable homes. You’ll manage a wide range of responsibilities, from processing applications and allocations to supporting customers with rent queries, safeguarding concerns, and tenancy sustainability. The role also involves promoting digital inclusion, tenant involvement, and delivering excellent administrative support to ensure services run smoothly.

We’re looking for someone who is organised, empathetic, and committed to delivering high-quality customer service. In return, you’ll have the satisfaction of knowing your work makes a real difference to people’s lives and communities across Nottingham.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience of working in a housing environment and an ability to learn.
  • Ability to demonstrate self-motivation and work proactively with minimum supervision.
  • Proven ability to work to a high level of accuracy.
  • Demonstrated a supportive approach to managing customer services and relationships, whilst maintaining a professional attitude.
  • Ability to react and respond positively to change.
  • Ability to remain calm and able to make accurate and timely decisions whilst under pressure and to maintain control of challenging situations.
