  • Champion a consistent design language and pattern library across all digital touchpoints.
  • Translate customer insights, data, and feedback into design decisions that enhance usability and satisfaction.
User Experience
  • Define and maintain UX principles, frameworks, and measurement approaches aligned with customer experience goals.
  • Partner with Customer Research & Insight teams to interpret behavioural and attitudinal data to inform design direction.
  • Develop end-to-end journeys that meet member needs, colleague workflows, and regulatory requirements.
Collaboration and Delivery
  • Work with Product Owners, Developers, and Customer Value Leads to embed UX/UI best practices into initiatives.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and support developers across the delivery lifecycle.
  • Advocate inclusive design, ensuring accessibility standards and usability testing are embedded in delivery.
Governance and Continuous Improvement
  • Maintain the design system for consistency, scalability, and compliance.
  • Use insights to drive test-and-learn approaches, including A/B testing across customer-facing products.
  • Stay current on UX trends, technology, and financial services regulation to keep digital experiences relevant and trusted.
About you
  • Strong expertise in user-centred, interaction, and inclusive design (WCAG 2.2), with solid usability principles.
  • Awareness of financial services regulation, data privacy, and conduct risk in digital design.
  • Understanding of behavioural design and how it supports informed member decisions.
  • Familiarity with digital technologies, front-end considerations, and design system governance.
  • Proven UX/UI design experience in regulated environments such as financial services or mutuals.
  • Successful delivery of digital experiences that enhance member satisfaction and engagement.
  • Experience conducting user research and usability testing.
  • Collaborative working with developers, product managers, and stakeholders in agile teams.
Reward & Benefits
  • A fair and competitive salary evaluated against market data, annual discretionary bonus scheme, Medicash healthcare scheme, 29 days annual leave plus bank holidays and enhanced family leave.
  • Commitment and dedication to your ongoing personal and professional development.
  • A friendly and inclusive culture where teams genuinely strive to do the right thing by their colleagues and our customers.
  • A strong sustainability agenda – we’re continually finding new ways to be kinder to the environment by reducing our carbon footprint.
  • Your health and wellbeing is our priority, we encourage this through a suite of support resources, including a team of trained mental health first aiders.
